Localized Dynamic Ad Insertion in Dear Hank & John?

Hey, I wanted to see if there's some kind of issue with my feed, or if anyone else has gotten localized dynamic ad insertion on the latest episode of the podcast (i.e. ads injected into the MP3 at download time, targeted to you based on IP location, and quite often in your local language as well).

I got an obnoxious German speaker at the start of the podcast and deleted the episode immediately...

I know I'm might be in the extreme minority here, but if there's anything I hate more than obnoxious ads, it's obnoxious ads in my native German on content that is going to be in English.

I sent them an email asking about this change, and whether a return to host-reads ads, or the addition of an ad-free premium tier would be possible.

I understand that a lot of people will recommend just skipping the ads and being done with it, which is obviously the easiest solution, but for me personally, they always leave and incredibly bad taste in my mouth, and sour the whole podcast :(

Has there been any public communication about this change I haven't seen?
