For the love of god; AI is not inherently evil or corrupt.

Not entirely defending use of AI, just in a niche. Big rich companies using it to screw over artists and writers is unforgivable, but I admit I’m genuinely pissed off to see the backlash against all AI, and in one specific situation, will tell any haters to shove it up their collective buttholes, and that’s AI for the little guy. The animator working on solo project, the game dev trying to hammer out his first game on his own, or with a couple of friends. \
The big case that sticks in my mind was a short animation called Springtrapped, a silly crossover concept between Scooby Doo and FNAF. It was made by one guy. One guy doing everything, and people raised a sh*tfit over the use of an AI generated voice. Jesus Christ on a cracker, people, this was already an incredible amount of work for one person, and while voice actors are hella important, and even if he got willing volunteers to voice for free, there’s still the extra effort of meeting, coordinating and getting voice work to integrate into the final product. \
TL;DR - don’t let AI steal people’s work, and don’t let rich people use it to screw people over, but can we back the hell off from attacking people using it for personal fun and fan projects?
