Commentators in the WC only spoke about Argentina & Messi and their team and not once about Algeria.
Has anyone else that watched Argentina vs Algeria noticed that the commentators only spoke about stats from Argentina and about Messi the entire time? When the game slows down i pay attention to what the commentators say so I noticed this. There where times where they would go 30 minutes without saying a word about Algeria or their players, even when they where attacking, they would find a way to make it about Argentina. All i could hear was chat about Messi and Argentina's tactics and attacks but not a single word about Algeria. Even when they did say something about Algeria it would be negative most of the time, such as "(name) loses the ball", or "Algeria can't break through their defense", and other sentences in those waters. I doubt this is just regular racism, but it's definitely not because Argentina is a bigger team, because this is too odd for that to be the case. I think the commentators sign deals and have to say certain things or speak for a certain amount of time about Argentina to get them attention. Like how people sell their soul for attention, but the same thing equivalent in football. In the worlds largest sport we know these things happen somewhere but this was so odd to me, so I thought i would come here and make this post. Any thoughts are appreciated.
