Of pokemon that you as an average person could realistically own if you lived in-universe, what would your team be?
If you lived in the Pokemon universe, you would logically need some pokemon. But if we're assuming that the majority of people wouldn't be walking around catching gods to fight their friends with, what pokemon would you want to have as an average trainer? Your team could be balanced for competitive battles, pokemon you happen to like, or just those that you're fond of. The only rule is no legendary or mythical pokemon.
Here's mine (with reasons why I'd pick them):
-
Serperior - Snivy was my first ever pokemon in my first ever game. Serperior was super cool to me as a kid and nostalgia has only made me like it more.
-
Arcanine - The design is a perfect balance of cute and cool. It's a good fighter if used correctly, and I just generally like the idea of a dog large enough that you could ride it like a horse into battle if you wanted to. Also, fluffy.
-
Staraptor - I use Staraptor on my team in nearly every game that it's available in. It's a solid team member and I'm very fond of it and its design.
-
Sylveon - I love all the eeveelutions, but this one is my favorite. It was a great way to show off the fairy type when it was introduced, and I surprisingly like its cutesy design.
-
Tyrantrum - I absolutely love paleontology, and what's cooler than a big theropod dinosaur?
-
Gecqua - I know we don't even know what this pokemon evolves into yet, but I already love it so much that it's going on my team anyway. It's a gecko pokemon. How could I not?
