[General] how to figure out sizing while thrifting online

I have tried purchasing from a lot of popular thrift but somehow they just f up the sizes I tell I am size size so and so in inches and still they manage to deliver me the wrong size and conveniently do not entertain return and refund like tf I am tired of this
I don’t think I will ever purchase from a thrift store unless anyone has worked around this issue
