Help: how to calm our 14 week iggy puppy?
About a month ago we have adopted an Iggy puppy, he is now 14 weeks old. In general he is doing really well, but getting him to sleep during the day has been a pain. We are not crating him, but he is with us in a small area during the day, when we work and has a cozy bed. I'm really worried that the lack of sleep is negatively affecting him, because he gets so hyper and bitey. Right now, I often just give up and sit next to him or let him on my lap, so he falls asleep (which is fine every once in a while, but not sustainable forever). During the night, he usually sleeps fine in his bed next to our bed, so that hasn't been an issue.
Any advise on how to slowly teach him how to settle? He doesn't need to be asleep in another room on his own, it would just be nice if he could nap next to us while we work and not stay awake for hours.
