Pixel 5 not connecting to wifi

Hey all

I have a pixel 5 and suddenly yesterday it will not connect to wifi. It will scan my home network and then say "Saved / cannot connect. Try again later"

I have:

reset the network / wifi in settings

Toggled airplane mode

"Forget" network and resign in

Restarted modem and router.

All the newer pixels are larger and I'm trying not to get a new (to me, I'd most likely but refurbished) phone.

Does anyone have any other suggestions before I begrudgingly get a newer phone?

Bonus question if there is no solution, has anyone gone from a 5 to a 9a, how was the transition size-wise ?
