NFA, DYOR disclaimer?

Genuine question. People write three paragraphs telling me exactly which coin to buy, when to buy it, what price target to set, and how it’s going to “10x by Q3 trust me” — and then slap “NFA, DYOR” at the bottom like a legal force field.

What is that supposed to do, exactly?

Is someone actually going to sue? Is there a courtroom somewhere where the disclaimer holds up? “Your Honor, I told him to do his own research, in all caps, after telling him to put his life savings into a dog-themed token.”
