is railway engineering worth pursuing in terms of practicality, enjoyment, and job market?

Need Career Advice

Hi, incoming freshman will be taking bsit in ust. Ive been contemplating on whether I should pursue bsit in ust for 4 years or take it for 1 year and if I dont like it ill switch to pup railway engineering if kaya (or sa tup). Also if I will take bsre now I can only apply to feati kasi di na umabot sa pup or tup. Pero honestly I dont wanna go to feai pero if no choice next yr then dito nalang.

Pros of IT:
-Have connections cuz of my dad
-been interested in this field pero bumawas once I got introduced to railway engineering
-If ever I dream to be a cloud engineer
-still willing to learn ts

Cons:
-saturated and competitive market
-madami akong kakila na nagtetake nito like lima kami
-less interested na cuz of railway engineering
-baka ma burnout sa corpo life judging from parents

Pros of bsre:
-somewhat interested abt how trains/rails work and being an engineer
-safer job market (I think)
-encouraged to take engineering by my parents and teacher

Cons:
-Ill wait 1 year in ust or study already in feati which I dont like the school (di na nakapply sa pup)
-Idk if the work life is hell kasi sa inet
-lower salary than it?
-less broad than IT in terms of roles and jobs
