Awaiting Consultation

Hello Everyone.

I've recently had a flexible cystoscopy that confirmed a urethral stricture, I am currently awaiting on a consultation date with a specialist to discuss options. From initial discussions it seems to be between dilation and urethroplasty. From reading various threads in here, seemingly the consensus is positive around the results of the urethroplasty despite the recovery time in some cases seeming less than ideal.

Just wanted to open this thread as a general point of discussion for anyone who has gone through a similar choice and if you were happy with the decision. I've got no idea on the wait times of the operation at present, nor how long it will take me to see the consultant to discuss and confirm the op but wanted to join the conversation anyway!

For context I've just always thought I had a weak bladder and known for "breaking the seal" but it's a nice thought that this might not be forever and the urgency will hopefully be a thing of the past soon enough.
