Thoughts on restructuring arcs
The apocalypse not ep felt rushed and lacking any real stakes. So what if the apocalypse played out over two seasons?
Cole is sent in to distract the sisters to allow the horsemen to prevail in the first ep of season 3. Piper and Leo fight to get married during this season same as before, but under the dire feel of impending doom. The Elders still interfere but on the basis of a huge threat is coming.
Cole and Phoebe fall in love, Cole sides with good, etc.
Prue dies at the end of season 3( not rewriting actors’ exits to not happen since the actors did leave. Only working with what the writers had) trying to stop the horsemen.
Season 4 starts immediately at the season 3 ending. They mourn Prue, Phoebe and Cole marry since they think they’re all doomed anyway.
Paige shows up, they fight the apocalypse while training Paige. The season ends with the sisters winning and Cole becoming mortal.
Once the source dies and the apocalypse is finally thwarted then the Angel of Destiny visits them To relinquish or not.
Season five comes, Cole dies, Phoebe miscarries, Piper has Wyatt etc
Season five, midway, mortal Cole dies, but as a good character. Phoebe miscarries, and actually deals with that while watching Piper have her baby. This creates tension between the sisters instead of Phoebe‘s short evil arc. They rebond having to save Wyatt from demons in a big battle arc, similar to season 6.
Not sure how long the above takes as these are thoughts not a plan, so what happens between saving Wyatt and the series end isn't clear to me yet.
Cole is brought back at the end for Phoebe instead of Coop. Alyssa said she wanted Cole back and clearly the actors would be willing since he did come back earlier.
All of this takes place after the season two ep still happens, though. The source finds new horsemen who are deadlier and work faster. This gives the season two ep higher stakes and adds to the show’s lore considering the weight of the plot.
I stuck with the limitations of the real life bts interferences. I also don’t change anything from seasons 1-2. Tying the Charmed ones coming to power specifically for the apocalypse makes their history and powers more grand. It also makes the Angel of Destiny’s offer have more weight.
