Southwest (Grand Canyon, Bryce, Zion) or Northwest (Glacier, Yellowstone) for a first-time national park trip?
My husband and I are planning our first trip to a national park for our 10-year anniversary. We are from southeast Alabama, so this would be our first time seeing the landscapes out West.
We were originally wanting to go in November but know that if we go north (Glacier) we would need to change the time of year we take the trip to late spring, which we are completely fine with.
But We’re having a tough time deciding whether to go to the Southwest (Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon, Zion, Monument Valley, etc.) or the Northwest (Glacier, Yellowstone) for our first trip out West.
If you could only choose one of these routes for a first-timer, which would you choose and why?
Edit to add : thank you for the comments about how it would need to be summer and not spring in glacier . I did not realize that so I'm glad I posted , so scratch the spring part . lol
