I honestly never thought I would get to this point. My vaping addiction was bad- went through a breeze every 3 days, couldn’t go anywhere without it, and I happily survived off of it while barely eating. I loved it for the appetite suppressant it gave me, and I thought I was fulfilled. Key word is “thought,” because the only reason I felt fulfilled is because I would satisfy the craving for my addiction, and then immediately after I would be craving it again. My life wasn’t my own, it was controlled by a little nicotine device. 

I made the decision to quit, partly because my wonderful boyfriend supported me in doing it, and also because I knew I couldn’t continue into my adult life with this habit. Now, I feel free. When I vaped, I was always jealous of “normal” people who could go about their life without needing a hit. I thought I could never be that person. I’m that normal person now! I never think about it, I don’t crave it when I drink or when I see others doing it. I gained some weight but I look so much healthier, looking back at old pictures I was absolutely malnourished and looked sickly.

If you can’t imagine your life without vaping or think you’re just not meant to quit, please believe me when I say that your life will be so much better without it. It will be hard at first, you’ll have to push through cravings, and you’ll wonder if it’ll be worth it. You’ll see other people doing it and get jealous, thinking that they’re so lucky they still get to hit it and that maybe they’ve figured out a way to use it without being addicted or unhappy. But I promise you, they are just as miserable and chained to their vape as you (and I) used to be. There’s never a “good” time to quit, the time is right now. Good luck!
