Game studio acquisition

With rumors suggesting that Microsoft may shut down or divest studios as part of its gaming restructuring, I started wondering: could Apple be interested in acquiring one or more of them?

Double Fine seems particularly interesting to me. Founded by Tim Schafer, the studio behind Psychonauts and Broken Age has a strong creative identity, and several of its games have already been available on Mac in the past.

Compulsion Games also feels like a surprisingly good fit for Apple’s gaming ambitions. Their games, such as We Happy Few and South of Midnight, have a distinct artistic direction that feels very “Apple” to me compared to more mainstream AAA studios. But South of Midnight is a little too "AAA" to what apple usually do (Apple Arcade game).

We don't know how much microsoft wants to sell those studios, but we do know that apple's people are great negotiators for these kind of things. At the same time they are known to buy much smaller studios.

Do you think Apple acquiring one or more of these studios is realistic? (I wouldn't bet on it)
If so, which studio would make the most sense, and what would Apple actually gain from it?
