Why Is Everyone Softballing Amanda and West?

Discussion

Ok, I get people are mindful of Amanda’s mental health, but at this point the lenience is becoming a pattern.
Lindsay was brilliant here. She stepped into the big sister role, asked direct questions, and got answers we honestly should have gotten at the reunion. What nobody is really talking about is that Amanda and West clearly weren’t fully present for these conversations. Whether they took something beforehand to relax or just emotionally checked out, it felt like another way of avoiding accountability. That’s their choice, but it should have been called out.

And Amanda? I’m sorry, but I don’t buy the “she was manipulated” narrative. She’s in her mid-thirties, not eighteen. At some point you have to own your decisions. Every difficult conversation seems to come with another excuse. The whole thing also makes me question how much these people actually value friendship. This isn’t some complicated moral dilemma. It’s pretty simple: you don’t hook up with your best friend’s wife, and you don’t hook up with your best friend’s ex. Most people understand that instinctively. Then we get Kyle talking to West and it’s so… tame? Yes, Kyle was a terrible husband at times. That doesn’t mean he loses the right to be furious or call out someone who crossed a line. If this happened in my friend group, people would be demanding answers, not nodding along to excuses.
Maybe it’s because this was filmed post-reunion and everyone’s emotions had cooled off. But I keep watching these conversations thinking: where is the anger? Where is the accountability? Especially knowing they went to Italy together afterwards.

Am I alone in feeling like everyone was soft-balling the questions and going way too easy on them?
