Diamond appraisal/GIA -different results

Had my diamond appraised for insurance purposes and seemed to be very thorough with all the 4 Cs. Considering trade in but when gone to another jeweler they had mixed readings on the stone. One unit that they used said it was a real stone and another handheld unit that they used said it was moissanite. .. How can that be??
