Backing up Samsung Messages

Backing up Samsung Messages

Hello, I'm trying to backup Samsung Messages so that I can use an alternative SMS app on my Samsung Galaxy S20. I'm running into an issue where only SMS messages will back up, not "Chat"/RCS messages. I don't need RCS in a new app, but i do want to see all of my previous messages in the new app. Anyone have any ideas on how to maybe convert those messages or how to backup my messages including the RCS/"Chat" ones? (preferably in a JSON format)? Thank you!
