Look, I know we all have that one brand we swore off after a total disaster. Mine was House of Indya. Back in 2024, I ordered a lehenga, and the fit was so bad I spent the entire event basically holding it together with safety pins. I promised myself: never again.

Fast forward to last month, and I’m in that classic pre-wedding panic. I was running out of time, my budget was tight, and everything else was either shipping in four weeks or cost more than my rent.

I saw HOI was promising delivery in like two weeks. I was so hesitant, but out of pure desperation, I decided to just take the L and try it one more time. I really expected the same nightmare, but honestly? It actually fit this time. I’m not sure if it’s because I opted for the custom sizing feature this time (which I don’t remember being an option back then) or if I just got lucky, but I’m genuinely shocked it didn’t turn into another safety-pin hassle.

Sharing photos from both events because I’m still a bit in disbelief.

Please tell me I’m not the only one who makes questionable life choices during wedding season.

I swore I wouldn't order from House of Indya again... but wedding season forced my hand.
