Randomly losing convoy leader

When I make a convoy, after a while leader suddenly gets transferred to someone else automatically. I'm not afk and not disconnecting, it literally happens mid driving. In FH5 it never happened with same exact players. We are all in the same LAN network. Tried having someone else host the convoy and the same thing is happening. It's not always the same player to whom leader gets transferred either.
