Qualification advice

Firstly let me say I realise I’ve made some very bad career choices when I was younger. Basically I’ve ended up in a situation where I’ve got an English lit degree and failed masters funded by student finance. In title I’m a Quantity Surveyor and I’ve been doing the job for 7 years (I think I’m actually alright at it) the problem is I have no formal QS qualifications so if I was to ever leave where I am now or want to progress my career I’d really struggle. I can’t afford to self fund a degree and I don’t really want to spend 6 years to learn about a job I’m already doing, I’ve looked into a masters conversion course but I just don’t think I can’t afford £11k a year. I can’t see my employer helping why should they in their eyes I’ve been doing the job well for years. Is there anyway I can get qualified to prove my competency without a degree or APC? Or is there any kind of adult funding available like a loan id be happy to pay back. Any help would be greatly appreciated
