Bit of a rant- Have you ever noticed people’s idea of a ‘healthy weight’ can be so wildly wrong?

I saw a post where a 5ft tall lady talking about her fitness journey and she mentioned weighing 48kg. And the comments were RUTHLESS. Talk of her lying about her weight because she ‘looked bigger’, saying she was on her way to being desperately sick and frail and setting a bad example.

And I thought gosh, that’s extreme, I’m not 5ft tall so I don’t really know what that means in relation to her height- 48kg would be super low for me at 5ft7 so I wonder what my equivalent would be.

60kg. Roughly, to get the same BMI calculator outcome as this lady my ‘equivalent’ would be 60kg. A bmi of over 20. Not that we can judge health but generally considered comfortably in a ‘normal’ range.

I can guarantee if I made a replica post of hers with 5ft7 and 60kg, no one would bat an eye in fact there’s probably be trolls saying 60kg is big! Which is the opposite end of the issue entirely.

I feel like I have no real point to this, it had just really frustrated me that people can be so judgemental and downright nasty
