Looking for some clarity on: Images V Feeling
Hey all new here.
I'm working through William Bankston's Hands-On Healing and struggling with the early visualization exercises to a point. I can see the images when going slow, but its frustrating because he goes so fast. He starts with cycling through five images, then builds to twenty while getting faster and faster. He says the goal is to eventually stop clearly seeing the images (I can barely see them clearly when he does it because hes always going too fast, when do it myself I have no problem).
But then at the end of chapter 4 he says that the eventual goal is to go faster, accelerate and make it hard to focus on any individual image (I already have this from the start) and instead to go to a "sensation" in the body and that its more like a "feeling" in the body "akin to an energy flow".
And this is where my question is.
I skipped ahead to where he talks about a tape or clock and I instantly got this feeling exactly how he described it. it felt like an energy flow, it felt like the images melded into a white/yellow/golden light that just flowed throw what I would describe as my minds eye.
So help me out here, but if the end goal is the feeling, why do we need the images at all? Makes not much sense to me and seems counter productive. With all due respect of course.
Or am I just completely bonkers and wrong in my thinking about this?
It seems the visualization of the images one after the other, is just training wheels to access that 'energy flowy feeling' reliably, like wax on wax off type training.
But if I can already achieve/access this feeling can I skip the image cycling and go straight to the feeling?
And a related question for the advanced people, when you do a cycling session, are you even beginning with the images when starting to cycle or do you just go straight to cycling and that feeling?
Thanks
