Last surgery update.

Hello all. This will be my last update but I will be on the lookout for any questions or comments. So I’m writing this from my guest room after some scrambled eggs and a biscuit, but most importantly a shower!

So I’m still very tender and stiff. Moving slowly getting in and out of bed and on and off the toilet. But obviously discharged, showered and fed, and had my first bowel movement so all seems to be on track for now.

So here’s my takeaway. If you decide to do elective surgery while healthy you’ll have the best shot at no bag. The initial pain SUCKED. For me the pain gets noticeably better everyday along with the mobility. You have to have a support network. My neighbor is awesome and girlfriend has been amazing. The big downside of my house is my bed and couch. My bed is high and super plush so I haven’t tried to get in that. My couch is super low,deep, and plush and I’ve given up on that. My guest room mattress is the right combo of comfort and firm along with height. Surprisingly stairs are super easy.

Be prepared for pain and mobility, prepare your home and put in some fore though. Don’t rush yourself, and hopefully the recovery is fast.
