Buying my first ever car- Budget is 1 M

Assalam-o-Alaikum everyone,
I’m looking to buy my first car and would really appreciate some advice.
My budget is around PKR 1 million, but I can stretch it to about 1.2 million if it’s worth it. I’ve never owned or driven a car before, so I’m looking for something reliable, easy to maintain, and beginner-friendly.
One thing I’d like to avoid is a Mehran. No hate towards it, I’d just prefer something a bit different if possible within my budget.
What cars would you recommend, and what should I watch out for when buying a used car in this price range?
