Pata Hai Aaj Kya Hua?

I was casually scrolling Reddit today when I noticed I had a DM request.

Normally I expect:

someone disagreeing with one of my questionable opinions

someone arguing about a random life story I posted

a design discussion

maybe somebody telling me my take was stupid

Instead I got:

"Hi Daddy

Dominate me

Humiliate me

Treat me like a slave

Force me to do the dirtiest things you can imagine"

💀

I genuinely started laughing.

So naturally I clicked the profile to figure out what sequence of events led someone to send this to me specifically.

The account had:

3 karma

16 days old

absolutely no connection to me whatsoever

Which somehow raised even more questions.

Because out of the millions of people on Reddit, this person apparently looked at my profile and thought:

"Yep. That's the guy."

The funniest part is that my profile is basically:

free advice

questionable opinions

random life stories

design insights

occasional shitposts

And somehow that translated into:

"Daddy material."

I still have no idea whether it was a bot, a troll, or someone conducting highly unconventional market research.

But I respect the confidence. 😭 🤧
