Question about responsibility of sin in all situations.
As y'all know, rejecting Jesus suddenly means you'd go to hell if you didn't repent afterwards and accept him again. When Christians were being persecuted in rome and Israel, many of them were being tortured to get them to reject Jesus.
Do you think if a Christian was tortured past their breaking point, where they're screaming and in utter agony, and they reject Jesus with they're mouth, and then immediately killed, that they'd go to hell? Do you think you, as a genuine Christian, could take any level or torture without rejecting Jesus, and so every other Christian must, even if most don't have to get tortured?
And btw, torture can be much worse than what Jesus went through. People can be kept alive for a loooong time, much longer than Jesus' crucifixion, while also being put in pain just as bad as Jesus was in without causing damage that would kill you, e.g. hot irons.
Ik this is a very dark question but the torture of Christians to get them to reject Jesus js well documented. What do you think- even if they stayed strong for a year, or 10, but then broke and caved, would they go to hell for giving in and saying "Jesus Christ isn't Lord?"
