changing subject courses- so unsure

applications / ucas

i did a btec in college in art, applied for art uni and got in, then withdrew my offers and took a gap year. I looked into what i wanted to do- some science degree , but then decided to just stick with art and reapplied this year, accepted their offer, got my housing sorted out. My parents got mad at me for not going to uni the first year, so i think i just didnt want to delay it any longer

Im regretting it again, i am good at art which is why i think ive just defaulted to it for so long, but i dont have any passion for it. When i see people in stem degrees i get jealous, if i saw someone with an art degree i couldnt really care less.

i really dont get how people can decide exactly what they want at 15-18 and stick with it.

I think i just hold alot of embarrassment on my behalf - choosing an art btec and broadening my options, not dropping out and swapping courses after my first year, taking a gap year to decide just to go back to doing art when i dont really want to do it.

Not sure. I had a cancer scare recently (i am all good though!!!) and it just kinda put shit into perspective that while i might enjoy studying it in uni because i am good at it, i dont enjoy it that much as a hobby or as a career.
