Help a guy who hasn't owned a pc since 10 years.

Last pc I had was 14 years ago. It was a core 2 duo with 2 gb ram. Now I just need a good enough pc setup for a guy who has not played any good games, except very few like prince of persia ww, gta 3, vice, san andreas, igi 1/2, and maybe few more. But everything else is untouched. Every good game, classics but mainly which are storybased not online like cs go. Budget is tight. Was thinking of asking chatgpt, but here I am. Please gimme an estimate of a pc that can run all or most good games from 2000 till 2025, on display settings good enough to not ruin the gaming experience.
