Today’s card of the day is Tidus 16-116L from Opus 16: Emissaries Of Light.

Tidus 16-116L is a disruptive Water Forward that excels at pressuring opponents who rely on blockers to stabilize the board. His inability to be blocked allows him to attack freely, creating constant damage pressure and forcing difficult defensive decisions. When he leaves the field and returns to the deck, he rewards his controller with card draw, helping maintain resources. His ability to punish opposing summons and abilities by removing an opponent’s Forward from the field also makes him an effective answer to targeted removal, giving Water decks both aggression and resilience.

Tidus is the protagonist of Final Fantasy X, a talented blitzball player from the futuristic city of Zanarkand. Thrust into the world of Spira after a mysterious attack by Sin, he finds himself far from everything he has ever known. Despite the uncertainty surrounding his journey, Tidus remains optimistic and energetic, bringing hope and humor to his companions during their pilgrimage.

Throughout the story, Tidus develops a close bond with Yuna, the summoner tasked with defeating Sin and bringing peace to Spira. As he learns more about the world’s history and his own connection to its mysteries, Tidus matures from a carefree athlete into a determined hero willing to make enormous sacrifices for those he cares about. His character arc remains one of the most memorable in the Final Fantasy series, blending adventure, romance, and personal growth into a compelling narrative.
