It takes a long time to get to where you want to be

Discussion

In 2013 after studying some film in college I got to be a production assistant for my favorite youtube group at the time. Also back then youtube didn't pay so they had no money I was happy to do it for free for my first IMDB credit. I became friends with them worked on more projects because they always reccomended me. film making is hard. 12 hour days. stay upbeat. make sure you get along with people. I then networked I actually facebook stalked a little bit and the girl on the front of Project X movie trailer (victoria Renee) was tagged and I asked to interview her on video for youtube and she said yes. So I flew out to illinois with my dad and interviewed her met up with a P.A. in the industry who said she P.A.'d for ellen degenerous and Nikki Minaj and Nikki told people not to look at her and ellen she didn't say was mean but wasn't upbeat like her personality on tv and was very subdued and didn't talk (interesting forshadowing) met up with another P.A. who I saw was tagged in the show american ninja warrior who invited me to a party where they were playing apples and apples and everyone was networking in L.A. I think made my own 40 minute film and hired people then was so exhausted never did film again but glad I did it. People I've worked with have now been in the shows Barry, The studio , The Pitt, imperfect women and one is writing a movie with some instagram tiktok celebrities like cherdlies. I'm saying this because it took 10 years for most people to start showing up on screen I had to go get a full time job to start making money because otherwise I'd be struggling but if you're willing to do it you can it just takes a long time. I also know gaffers who have done well that's behind the scenes obviously sorry for the long post I just think it's cool.
