guys how do you even try on your knitting projects? 😭

I'm knitting the miu top but now that I'm almost finishing the ribbing part I want to try it on, cause i didn't make a swatch before starting the project (I just trust the process) and I'm not sure if it will fit the way it's supposed to. how do y'all usually try on your projects? I'm using a circular needle, but it's not the interchangeable ones, so I'm afraid to mess up the whole thing if I just try to figure it out on my own
