lower area farming for cube levels vs. pushing ahead for better item drop which is better?

I'm level 82, but my cube is only level 63. Should I farm earlier zones for level 65 gear to level up the cube, or is that a waste of time? Should I just do 80+ areas for level 80+ drops instead? I cant decide pls help.
