Why is there a start screen?

I already clicked on the game, why do I need to press A to start again. They needa really make sure I want to play?

Have that cool intro video and then it goes away and I get loading screen screenshots

Related the loading time for everything seems excessive - getting into the game, in/out of garage, starting races.. and then the time wasted from all the extra clicking and scrolling cuz everything has a menu and you need to do go everywhere to manage cars in the garage
