RX 9070 XT - Code 43 after DDU + clean Adrenalin install, GPU-Z shows 0 MHz clocks, second monitor dead
Hi everyone,
I’m having a really stubborn issue with my 9070xt.
Problem:
- After using Steam Link one evening, the next day my second monitor had no signal and the main monitor was locked at 60Hz.
- Windows was using Microsoft Basic Display Driver.
- AMD Adrenalin refuses to open and shows the classic compatibility error (PA-300).
- I realized GPU had some sag but even afte reseating properly and lying it down it wouldn't change a thing.
What I already tried:
- Multiple DDU clean installs in Safe Mode
- AMD Cleanup Utility
- Fresh Adrenalin installs with Factory Reset (latest and older versions)
- AMD Software Compatibility Tool
- Disabled Windows automatic driver installation
- Reseated GPU and power cables
- Tried different drivers
Current status:
- In Device Manager the RX 9070XT shows with yellow triangle - Code 43 ("This device has been stopped because it has reported problems.")
- GPU-Z detects the card (Navi 48, correct BIOS etc.) but all clocks are at 0 MHz
- Second monitor still no signal
- Only Microsoft Basic Display Driver works (60Hz)
I’ve spent hours on this over the last two days and nothing has fixed it. The card worked perfectly before.
Has anyone experienced this exact issue with a 9070XT?
Could this be a hardware failure, bad VBIOS, Resizable BAR issue, or some Windows corruption?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
