Looking to buy a new grinder

Been brewing my pour overs for a little while now got a nice set up but feel like my grinders been holding me back when i brew tidy lightly roasted coffees.
i've got a kingrinder p2 started with it cuz i just used a moka pot at the time but got into pour over recently.
my dad is liking coffee more now but hates using the hand grinder so said i'd go half's on a grinder with him problem is he drinks espresso and i drink filter
really want an ode but feel like it wont do his espresso drinks for context he's not got a refined palate just likes the ability to switch between beans he'd be putting it into a super automatic (yes he could just use the built in grinder don't even get me started) looked at a couple others like the df54 or varia vs3 not too sure
dont really want to spend too much on something that's not gonna give me a nice pour over - i like a nice seperation without so much body but open to different things.
cheers soz for the length of this post
