What have you done to reduce brake fade?

I feel like any kind of spirited driving on trails comes with brake fade pretty quickly. Several times now I've been experiencing brake fade in some open trails where I can get some pretty good speed and the fun ends pretty quickly. Now I know these things aren't baja runners but the factory braking just seems so mediocre.
