I fell asleep staring at my Shazam cardboard cutout in the corner of my room… and somehow, that’s where it all started.
At first, nothing unusual—just the same pose, the same grin. Then the room flickered. The lightning bolt on his chest began to glow. Before I could even react, he stepped forward. Out of the cutout. Into my room.
“Ready?” he said.
Next thing I knew, we were flying. Not floating—proper flying. Straight out through the ceiling and into the night sky. The city lights blurred beneath us as we soared higher, faster, like something out of a film but somehow completely real.
Then we saw it.
A glowing cave carved into the side of a mountain, pulsing with strange light. We landed just outside, and I could feel something inside—something powerful. We stepped in together, and that’s when the ground shook.
Out of the shadows came this massive, weird bearded dragon. Not just big—unreal. Its eyes glowing, its roar echoing through the cave. I froze.
Shazam didn’t.
He stepped forward, lightning cracking around him, and with one shout—SHAZAM!—the whole cave lit up. The dragon lunged, the ground split, everything shaking… and then, just like that, it was over. The light faded. Silence. The universe—somehow—saved.
We walked back out like it was just another day.
And then… I woke up.
Back in my room.
The cutout was exactly where it had been. Same pose. Same grin.
But I swear… it looked different. Like it knew.

And honestly? I’ve never been more glad I had that cardboard cutout. ⚡
