I migrated from a UXG-E & CK-E to a EF-Core... the process was...
... insanely smooth.
Literally <5 Minutes of downtime.
Loaded the new EF-Core with my 2nd isp, got it up and running, updated etc.. Made a new full network backup on the CK-E. Disconnected the CK-E/UXG-E from their uplinks - waited for site manager to tell me they were offline (2-3min to go completely -grey-) - got on the EF-Core, told it to restore backup from the new backup I just made. It loaded the backup and boom, it was done - some re-adoptions here and there but everything was back up and running as I plugged back in the primary ISP, it was already chugging along.
Small non-perfections:
I only had 3 AP's I had to pin-push to re-adopt. The setup of the shadow mode EF-Core took longer than the primary taking over lol.
The 5g Backup had to be rebooted, and it cycled its e-SIM and came back up just fine.
I had to log out of my Unifi Network iPhone app- and back in, for it to properly load clients/devices etc. on the new/restored site - the main info page would load, but it did not show devices etc.
The EF-Core allows me to "Merge" my sites E-NVR, UNAS Pro8 and CK G2 (talk) so they all are "one" - the CK-E/UXG-E did not allow me this option, so now my site manager is much less cluttered!
For those who have swapped out core's like this know - this is a crazy good and smooth process that actually did work like "the textbook" said it should have.
Now what to do with this UXG-E, CK-E and 2x Sophos XGS 4500's
