Help please: Photo Mechanic Canon files blurry vs Nikon?

Hi friends. I'm working on a shoot from this past weekend with a Canon shooter as my second photog. I'm Nikon (Z9/Z8) and never have any issues with the photos being tack sharp in preview and the zoom option set at 3/4.

The Canon files, however, are blurry on zoom and I have to set it to at least 2 or 3 to get close looks. He's running a 1D-X Mark 3. This happened once before with another Canon user running with an R8.

Is there anything I need to be looking at as to why one camera is perfect and the other isn't or is this just a weird Canon thing?
