Can’t manage to get my CarPlay to work.

I’ve recently just purchased a 2020 Chevy Silverado 1500 2.7l

I’ve tried just about everything. I’ve made sure my phone is up to date with iOS, and have made sure CarPlay is enabled on both the truck and the phone.

When I try to connect with the truck, it states I must plug the phone into the truck… Nothin. When I attempt to use my phone, it states to press the voice command button on the wheel, although that button doesn’t exist in my truck. I’m stuck, anybody have the same issue? Anyone able to help a man out???
