AITAH for not pulling forward at a Ocala KFC after the manager threatened to hit me, told me she did not have to “slave” for me to eat, and slammed the window in my face?

AITA for not pulling forward at KFC after the manager threatened to hit me, told me she did not have to “slave” for me to eat, slammed the window in my face, and police turned it into “leave or go to jail”?

I had two separate prepaid KFC app orders.

One was a Meal for Two with sandwiches, nuggets, sides, and two drinks. The other was a separate chicken sandwich order. I had already paid for both before I got to the drive-thru.

When I got to the window, they handed me a bag, but the two drinks from the Meal for Two were missing. The separate sandwich was still being made.

I asked about the drinks because they were not free sodas I was trying to get. They were paid items on my receipt.

The manager told me to pull forward because I was holding up the line. I asked what would happen to the rest of my order and the drinks I had already paid for. Nobody offered a refund. Nobody said, “Pull into spot 3 and we will bring it out in five minutes.” They just wanted me away from the window.

Then the manager got hostile.

She told me she did not want to argue with me. She said that if she was not at work, she would hit me. She also told me, “I do not have to slave for you to eat.”

Then she slammed the drive-thru window in my face.

That is why I did not just pull forward and trust them.

At that point, I had already paid, I had only received part of my order, I was being threatened by the manager, and the window had been shut in my face. I felt like they were trying to clear me out first and leave me to fight over the missing food afterward.

Police came.

At first, one officer asked me to move so I was not blocking the drive-thru. I kept trying to explain: I paid through the app, the order was incomplete, the manager had just threatened me, and I had no clear answer about the missing drinks or the sandwich still being made.

Then it changed fast.

Officer McCurdy started demanding my ID.

At essentially the same time, another officer—a corporal—was telling me I needed to leave immediately or I was going to jail.

That is what confused me the most.

One officer was demanding identification while the other was giving me an immediate leave-or-jail ultimatum. I was still trying to understand whether I was being asked to pull forward, being detained, or being told I had to abandon a prepaid order that KFC had not completed.

I kept asking how I was trespassing when I was still waiting on a paid order and had never been given a clear process for getting the missing drinks or sandwich.

It ended with threats to break my window and me being pulled out of my car and arrested.

The part that still messes with me is that after I was arrested, KFC later gave the food and missing drinks to my companion who rushed to the scene.

So the order was clearly still active enough to finish after I was gone.

I understand drive-thru lines need to move. I understand I was holding up other customers. Maybe I should have pulled forward anyway.

But AITA for refusing to move after the manager threatened to hit me, made the “slave” comment, slammed the window, and police went from “pull forward” to demanding my ID and telling me to leave or go to jail while KFC still had not given me everything I had already paid for?
