I doubled my close rate this month. heres how.

Discussion

So basically for a long time, I was just showing up and improvising? Skimming their LinkedIn for 30 seconds before jumping on the call and just going from there. And it worked well enough, but I couldn't figure out why my close rate was locked at around 15% for four months straight despite doing everything in my power to change it.

So in March, I gave up and began preparing properly for each and every call. Again, nothing crazy, just making a small dossier about the person in question beforehand, like their previous occupations, education, overall career path. You would be amazed by how quickly I can determine whether a person is more of a numbers person or more of a visionary one and adapt to the way I speak with them.

My new routine includes tools to cover the basics and then Claude or Articuler to prepare a playbook for speaking with the person, so to speak. The last but probably most important detail that no one does is checking the person's personal Twitter or even Instagram account. Trust me, there is far more to learn from them there than on LinkedIn.
