I outted my ex to our mutual friends

My ex and I broke up and I felt like the way he dumped was harsh. Just for clarity in a previous post I referred to him as my girlfriend just because i knew he hadn’t come out as trans or gay to anyone except me and like 2 close friends.

Anyway, he sent me a long message apologizing for not telling me he didn’t have feelings anymore sooner, that he was blocking me, didn’t want to communicate anymore, ect. I was honestly sort of rude in my response and told him that him calling me the problem wasn’t fair, then said something similar to “based on the fact that you only have 2 friends and one of them you liked romantically, i wouldn’t say I’m the issue” which looking back now I see that saying that wasn’t really fair, oh well can’t take it back now lol. He also asked his (they’re my friends too, but he is closer with them) friends to block me.

Anyway I was pissed off for a few days and I was really thinking about it about 4 days after he dumped me and ended up outing him to our friends (different friends than the ones he requested block me), I told them EVERYTHING that he’s trans, what name he was actually going by when he wasn’t around them, that he was gay, mental health things he was struggling with, that he had a kink for blood or biting or something like that, and more that wasn’t as significant.

However, I never told them we were dating, because they’re mostly either Christian or homophobic I never told them I was bi either. I didn’t mean to throw him under the bus about it, I was just mad. I’m not sure if I was a jerk and I’m just trying to justify it or if it really is justifiable. He’s blocked me so I can’t apologize, but he also doesn’t know I told them.

Am I a jerk for that and what should I do?
