The sheer audacity of toxic relatives

My parents recently bought a new car and drove it to my Nani’s house in UP. My Mama and Mami, who live upstairs, saw the car arrive but didn't say a single word of congratulations. Instead, they immediately started criticizing my sister, who is in her second year at Delhi University. They lectured my parents about how she attends too many college fests and stays out too late, even criticizing her for participating in an MUN event, saying she should "just focus on studying."

The hypocrisy is unreal. They only know about her life because my 23-year-old cousin was secretly spying on my sister's Instagram stories and showing them to her parents. This same cousin is completely unemployed, contributes nothing financially, and refuses to work unless she magically gets a 12–15 LPA job right away, even though my Mama barely earns and my Mami just had surgery. It’s pure jealousy and projection. I’m glad I have them blocked, and my sister needs to remove that cousin immediately.
