How to Clean this Plush Doll

I bought this plush doll at a convention and I'm pretty sure the material is polar fleece (although not 100% positive?) It's from a Japanese company and it came with no actual cleaning instructions, but it has stains at this point and it's long overdue. Would anyone have any pointers? I'm paranoid about ruining the softness of the plush if I go about it the wrong way. For reference, this is the doll in question.
