Jean Grey is one of Marvel’s most iconic heroes, yet her current Duelist kit doesn’t fully capture what makes her unique. Jean is first and foremost a telepath and telekinetic, using her powers to protect others, control the battlefield, and support her teammates, as well as being an offensive threat.

Im not saying remove her Duelist role as I’m sure some people like it, but she should be top of the list to have a second role added.

A Strategist version would better represent that side of her character, letting players experience the fantasy of saving allies through telepathy and telekinesis, while reserving the Phoenix Force as an ultimate only. Together, the two versions would better reflect the full scope of Jean Grey’s abilities.

I hope we can get this, Jean looks like she is about to be represented heavy in the films, 97 and other games. I hope she can be represented well in rivals too!

This kit was inspired by Lifeweaver from Overwatch with a primary that has a charge aspect, a pull to save allies, and an ability that allows allies to gain a vertical advantage. Phoenix emerges for the ultimate only, and is more representative of the Phoenix’s restorative powers over destructive.

**Primary Attack: Pain Suppression**

Channel telepathy to suppress an ally’s pain, restoring Health over time. Hold to charge the ability to release a burst heal on top of the heal over time.

**Secondary Attack: Telekinetic Crush**

Focus waves of telekinetic force in front of Jean, continuously damaging and slowing enemies. Damage and slow increase the longer targets remain under pressure.

**Ability: Telekinetic Grip**

Encase an ally in a psychic bubble, making them briefly invulnerable before pulling them to Jean and restoring Health.

**Ability: Psychic Barrier**

Briefly project a telekinetic barrier in front of Jean that blocks all incoming damage. Allies standing behind the barrier are continuously healed as Jean suppresses their pain. While protected, allies charge with telekinetic energy, granting a single powerful jump (think Rocket jump pack) with a slow fall once fully charged. Jean must maintain concentration while the barrier is active and cannot attack or use other abilities. She is vulnerable from behind the barrier.

**Ultimate: I Am Phoenix**

Become the Phoenix, soaring into the sky before crashing into the battlefield. The impact destroys enemy deployables and barriers, and creates a Phoenix field that heals, and produces Phoenix feathers that burst heal and buff. Jean is fully healed on activation.

**Passive: From the Ashes**

If Jean dies with at least 50% Ultimate charge, she leaves behind Phoenix Feathers that heal and buff allies. If her Ultimate is fully charged, she can instead consume it to immediately revive, creating a Phoenix field where she returns.

**Passive: Telekinetic Descent**

Use telekinesis to slow your fall while airborne.
