Dispatch Company asked me to do manual labour. Need advice.

Jobs

Hey guys, I wanted to share my frustration a bit. So as the title suggests, I am employed to a dispatch company and my job description was software engineer (open position). I secured employment there after a year of job searching. Even from the start tho, there were several issues. For starters, they gave me my employment letter near the end of January, but I didn't receive the documents needed for my visa until start of February. I applied immediately and received my engineering, humanities and international services visa in the middle of March. My employment was supposed to start at the beginning of April, but it got delayed to May because they couldn't find a project for me. And then to June, cause they didn't wanna start because of Golden Week.

June arrives and they still haven't found a project for me. Last week, they asked me to meet with them, and whether I'd be ok with unskilled labour work for a while. Now here's where I messed up. I accepted, albeit reluctantly. I was incredibly frustrated and depressed after being unemployed for a year plus. They asked me to prepare some stuff, and today was the first day. It was painful. I'm not exactly made of glass, but I will be honest, I'm not built for physical labour. I didn't realize how bad it would be until I got there. I still finished the 9 HR shift as best as I could.

While I was on it tho, I realized something I should have a lot earlier. My visa doesn't allow unskilled labour, and I could get deported. I felt so stupid. After getting off, I immediately texted my co-ordinator and explained the situation. Both how this work is too much for me, and also that it's quite illegal. They said that they are busy rn, and that I don't have to go to work tomorrow. And also that we should speak in their office on Thursday. I'm an anxious person as it is, and this is just killing me. What do I do from here? I would appreciate any kind of advice. Thank you.
