Can someone explain reddits logic to me? 2 people will say the exact same thing on the exact same community, but one of them gets support and the other gets hate?

On the digital circus subreddit theres a few special individuals spoiling the ending in the title, making it completely unavoidable for people randomly getting it recommended to them.

Now whenever I call this shitty behaviour out, no matter how nice I try to phrase it, I always get downvoted and insulted.

But I just saw a post spoiling again, and someone commented "Thanks for the spoiler dickhead", and they're getting support from people and people who are insulting them are getting downvoted.

I had another experience where I saw someone do a list of a games series like "which game is the scariest", or "which game is the most fun" and it got a lot of support. So I went to another sub of a series I like to do it too because I wanted to know what people think, and I got downvoted and insulted.

And I really don't understand why when 2 people do the exact same thing, one of them will get support from people while the other one will get insulted and very little, if any, support. It almost feels targeted.
