What do you tell a patient when you don't know the answer to their question?

Increasingly finding myself in situations where a patient or their family asks me multiple questions about their condition. Sometimes I even know the answer but I just need some time to frame it.

My question is, what do you guys say when you don’t know the answer to their questions, without coming across as dumb or insensitive?
