Should I study HSK 3.0 or 2.0?

Hi everyone.

I had previously gotten an HSK3 score (for which I studied 2.0 for, because the New HSK isn't available in my country yet).

I'll hopefully be in China this fall, and now I have started NEW HSK (from HSK1, to just remember everything, and also study the new curriculum).

I was planning on taking HSK4 or 5 in China, however, some say HSK 3.0 is only out until HSK3? I can't find anything related to this, is it true? I know China uses HSK 3.0 now but now I'm not sure? I don't think they apply 3.0 for HSK1-3 and 2.0 for the rest. Does anyone know?
